Iain Howarth was a prolific singer/songwriter and a regular at Alvechurch Acoustic Roots. Iain formed his first band whilst at school in 1968.  He later went on to form rock/pop band ‘Rocky’ which turned fully professional and later morphed into 'Stagefright', successfully toured for 6 years, supporting many chart topping bands of the 70s, such as Mr Big, One Night Affair and The Heavy Metal Kids.



Iain wrote the song ‘Girl that I Knew’ in 2001 as a homage to his experiences of first love and wondering “where is she now?”.
